The exhibition game between famous faces from the past for Valencia CF and Spain ended in a 1-3 loss for the VCF Legends, but the scoreline was perhaps the least important part of an entertaining contest at Mestalla.
For the fans, it was a trip down memory lane and an opportunity to see some of the club's all-time greats in action once more. Marco Di Vaio scored for the VCF Legends, whilst Catanha and Rubén De la Red found the net for Spain.
The game finished was played out in front of more than 38,000 fans, and was rounded off by a spectacular fireworks display.
